Most traditional cold form steel piles are U piles, but trench sheeting also generally falls under this category or is classed as a derivative of U Piling. Whilst much of the time engineers will choose a Z pile, contractors will often select the U piles, as these offer increased stability and are better to handle during the installation process. It stands to reason that the wider the pile sheet the fewer interlocks are incorporated into the structure, which results in increased containments and sealing properties.
Ponds UK – Aquatic Management Ltd works with a large range of profiles offering mono-extruded budget U pile options, along with a premium extruded plastic pile, which is available in several colours.
We supply all equipment and our services to both domestic and commercial clients throughout the United Kingdom.
