We were called by a client and asked to help with a pond which had become extremely overgrown and was suffering from Reed, Water Lilly and silt choking. On the initial visit we quickly established that the pond was very overgrown and thriving on vast quantities of silt, which have built up over many years of neglect.
The project required dredging of the entire pond to remove all silt and all unwanted Reed and Lilly growth. Once completed the pond was greatly improved with a larger surface area of water and greater depth for the existing resident koi carp and king carp.
During the project and clearing it was noted several of the banks where becoming unstable and had been undercut. All of these banks have now been reworked and made structurally sound.
